Peer Review Process
Qubahan Journal of Social Science (QJSS) operates a double-anonymous peer-review process.
Under this model, author identities are concealed from reviewers and reviewer identities are concealed from authors as far as reasonably possible.
Eligible manuscripts are normally evaluated by at least two independent external reviewers with appropriate subject expertise.
Reviewers assess:
• Originality
• Scholarly significance
• Relevance to the journal's scope
• Theoretical or conceptual foundation
• Methodological rigor
• Quality of evidence
• Analysis and interpretation
• Ethical compliance
• Engagement with relevant literature
• Strengths and limitations
• Overall academic presentation
Possible decisions include:
• Accept
• Minor revision
• Major revision
• Reject
Reviewer recommendations are advisory.
The final publication decision remains with the responsible academic editor.
Additional reviewers may be invited when reports are contradictory, incomplete, or specialist expertise is required.
Peer review is confidential and independent of Article Processing Charges.
